Also liquidise some fruit and then freeze it in lolly ice holders an easy way to get a portion of fruit into them.

colditz · 18/01/2006 12:25

mashed potato with pureed veg in it, an egg beaten in, roll into balls and coat with breadcrumbs and oven bake.

You could probably freeze these although haven't tried it.

Thanks for all your ideas!

I like the sound of the fruit lollies! DS1 loves lollies so this may just work!

Havn't decided about tonights tea yet.

homemade french bread pizzas
take a french stick, slice it half
put on tomato puree or tomato sauce
add grated cheese and ham or chicken, pineapple etc
and put under grill until cheese has melted

Sorry CD! I am here, not hiding or anything!

Youngest had some chicken with rice last night, he wasnt impressed but at least he tried it! My eldest woulnt even go there,so he ended up having a bowl of cereal for his dinner!

Eldest is at his nans tonight for dinner so don't know what he will have. I'm not sure what we are having but will give youngest the same!

And I know I'm bad but I would never give them turkey twizzlers! Honest!

Thanks doormat! Sounds great!

We used to make these 'pizzas' at nursery for our cookery lesson!

Lea2003 · 19/01/2006 21:07

Have similar problems with my 2yo dd.

Try chicken strips dipped in egg and cornflakes.
Also if they will eat pasta - a tin of tomatoes and whatever veg you can cook up and puree into a pasta sauce.

Don't laugh but dd loves bread and will try most things if you put a small piece on a cube of bread - gets her used to the taste.

Anyone know where to get healthy sausages though?

redshoes · 20/01/2006 20:20

tesco do frozen organic pork sausages. Just bought them, so can't tell you what they're like!
