High calorie packed lunch (not sandwiches)

DS2 is very slim and could do with putting on a bit of weight. He does love his food and always eats breakfast dinner and supper plus snacks, but leaves a lot of his packed lunch at school. He doesn't have the best concentration so going all those hours without food worries me. I try to do wraps as he likes those but he doesn't even eat them, maybe a bite or two?

Does anyone have any new ideas for me to try that has high calories? He loves his fruit and veg so getting vitamins isn't a problem. He just wants to go out and play football at school. I've mentioned it to his school umpteen times but nothing's done. It's a tiny school too so you'd think they could look now and again?

TIA

I'd provide a lot of snacky quick to eat stuff. My DS thought sitting through a whole sandwich was 'cutting into his playtime'... but was OK with the handier bits and pieces. Little bags of nuts and raisins... very high cal and nutritious.... or just the dried fruit if school is not nut-friendly. Flapjack with plenty of sugar and butter in it. Commercial dried fruit/cereal bars. Chunks of cheese. Minature pork pie or scotch egg.... not the last word in nutrition but very tasty and high in cals.

How about cutting the sandwich into small squares so they're easier to pop into his mouth? My DS eats them quicker that way.

Ds eats lots more if I give him pasta rather than sandwiches. Yoghurt covered dried fruit has loads of calories in, esp bananas. Kelloggs elevenses bars are the most calorie dense commercial cereal bars I have found. I agree about pork pies, over 200 cal in a mini one I think. Pot of angels delight made with cream, or real custard is good.

Thanks great ideas. He likes pasta and am sure will love the cereal bars and yoghurt fruit. I'll get some of the Kelloggs ones on my next shop.

KITNW I only give him a small sandwich now anyway and some of that gets left. As with the wrap, 1/2 a one and he always leaves a bit. He does eat his fruit and frube ( or similar) I hadn't thought of making Angel delight with cream? That's a good idea too thanks.
