Twice-steamed Christmas pudding - how long will it last?

I made it about 2 months ago and cooked it at the time. Steamed it again on Christmas Day but we didn't eat a single bit so have a while pudding left over! I know they keep for ages after the first steaming but will that still apply now that I've steamed it twice? I was planning on crumbling it into some vanilla ice-cream and making a sort of Christmas PUdding ice-cream and I'm sure that will be ok but could I heat it again instead?

I am sure that there will be no problem.

The Christmas steaming will have probably extended the shelf-life by another year or five .. :) As long as you wrap it in a clean cloth and keep it in an airtight container, it'll last ages.

My aunt told me that she bought a Christmas pud this year as she didn't feel up to making one, then realised it had nuts in it and her DS is allergic to nuts. 'But,' she said, 'I realised that I had a bit of last year's left still, so I heated that up for him instead'. Lucky man. But he has come to no harm! Just make sure you heat it thoroughly.

Yes, ages. Drop it from a skyscraper or into the ocean, bury it in concrete - it'll still be there, and all the better for it :)
