alternatives to christmas pudding

I have eaten Christmas dinner already. Am now eating leftovers. All due to friends abroad coming round. Intend to have duck on Christmas day but what about pudding? Still have half of one to finish. Something light and deliciois and buyable from a shop. Or very easy to mId in advance. ny suggestions?

We always have a cheesecake as well as Xmas pud - my sister & DD1 don't raisins so that's most of the Christmas puddings out of the window. If you can't be arsed to make one, then the Waitrose New York Cheesecake's very nice.

I usually have a bought frozen thing - pecan toffee roulade, pavlova, something like that. Not sure this year as freezer is bursting at seams already Xmas Grin

I'm going to layer a bowl with cling film, add several layers of melted chocolate then fill with ice cream. I'm hoping it'll look like a Xmas pud when it's turned out.

Biscuit base. 400g soft cheese, 100g greek yoghurt, 50g icing sugar, juice and zest of half a lemon.

get a panettone, crumble it into a large dish (add broken chocolate bits if you have any handy) mix up some milk, egg & sugar (to taste, doesn't need too much) pour over, sprinkle brown sugar on top and bake it.

All quantities etc flexible - tastes delicious, quick & easy to do. Make it in advance then just shove it in the oven about 30-45 mins before you want it.

You could turn your left over Christmas pud into Christmas pudding crackers.

You can use a fancy pastry call Brick pastry (Waitrose) but filo would work too.

Cut square or rectangles of pastry and put some pud in a line in the middle. Leave 4 cm or so clear of pud at the end. Roll them up into a sausage shape and crimp/squeeze together the pastry at the end of the pud bit.

So you have a Christmas cracker shape filled with pud. Bake in the oven, 10 or 15 minutes. Mix some rum into mascarpone cheese and dip warm pud crackers into it. Delicious.

It's my favourite way of eating christmas pudding. Xmas Smile

I am going with Pannettone (sp?) and some kind of fruit. Ate a very delicious put the other. Mascarpone and plums but I daresay other fruit would work. Thanks for all your suggestions. I'd love to have Christmas dinner at your houses.
