Baking in a tin that has previously been used for roasts?

It will be grim won't it? Wondering if I can get away with baking a choc cake in the tin I usually do roasties in. Tin has been washed obviously and will be lined. What do you think?

Yeah, why not?

I use the same tins for eveything (don't eat meat though, that might make a difference I suppose)

If you line the tin/pan, there should not be any problem at all.

Fab! Really couldn't face trekking to the shops for a new one

Absolutely fine - but if you're still a bit unsure, you could slice up some lemons and bake them in it, which should make it come out gleaming.

MrsWifty.... not if it is an anodised aluminium roasting dish. The fruit acids from the roasted/baked lemon could strip the surface off, or at least leave marks on it. You could, however, wipe it with lemon juice, then wash it.
