Lasagne sheets!

How do I pre-cook lasagne sheets without them all sticking together? I always spend ages prising them apart and half-scalding myself in the process!
(Guess what we're having for tea tonight?!)

I generally use them uncooked, make the sauce a bit more liquid and the whole thing bakes together. The sheets absorb the liquid while baking.

I never pre cook them either.

I tried it once but they were really chewy, I usually drain the water/fat off the meat before I put the sauce in but I'll leave it in this time.
If there's a knock on your door in an hour it'll be me and DP for tea as ours is ruined! Wink
Thank you xx

Yesterday I made up the lasagne about an hour or so before I put it in the oven and everything was cooked through perfectly. So, that's my Top Tip when you have more time. Oh,, and always make your meat sauce quite liquidy

You don't pre cook them, you just use them. If they are chewy you need to cook it for longer at a slightly lower heat.

we tend to use fresh lasagne sheets out the chill rather than the dried ones

I always drain the fat off the meat (I'm always a bit Shock to see how much there is sitting there when it goes cold), but just make the sauce a bit more liquid or make about half a pint more of it, and always make sure the top layer is completely covered with sauce/cheese or it gets quite crunchy.

I pre-cook mine as I've had hard bits left in the past if I've not done so. Adding a good glug of olive oil to the cooking water should stop them sticking together.
