We have moved house and the last owner kindly got rid of the decrepid gas cooker . We are planning anew kitchen soon ish but are there any ideas of baby weaning (9MO) foods to be made in
a slow cooker, microwave, steamer and toaster?

Thanks

Pasta, toast, cereal, veggies, ready meals. I don't think I ever used a cooker to do baby food. You can do most things in a microwave

All of the above!

The steamer especially is your friend Grin You can steam almost any kind of vegetable. Fish also good.

At 9 months they can eat most anything you can make in a slow cooker too - soups and stews served with bread for dipping are great weaning foods.

Sorry to sound dull- How do you cook pasta without a hob to keep it boiling?
To be fair to DD she is good with finger food but want to make sure she is also eating enough protein

You can cook pasta in a microwave and a slow cooker (throw it in to a slow cooked sauce and cook on high for the last 30 minutes)

you're absolutely fine to make pretty much everything with the slow cooker and the microwave, plus by 9 months old babies will be fine for self-feeding whatever you're having.

Can you borrow a friends kitchen? We didn't have a cooker for a couple of months when DS2 was that sort of age. I used to make big batches of stuff like shepherds pie, fish pie and tuna pasta at a friends house then use silicon muffin trays to freeze them in portions. Each portion can then be microwave cooked.

Chuck root veggies (onion/carrot/parsnip/swede etc) and meat of choice (diced beef/chicken/lamb) into slow cooker, add pearl barley or lentils too if you like, either add plain water or a 'baby'/low salt stock cube and bouquet garni/herbs if preferred into slow cooker, cook about 8 hours, and when cooked it should be soft enough to be mashed, or can be blended to desired texture.
