Which features for a microwave?

DH and I are thinking about getting a microwave, mostly so that he can reheat food after a night shift. I've never had a microwave and neither did my Mum so it's a bit of a new area.

I know that you can get some that are combi microwave and grill/oven etc etc. So, given that it's mostly going to be used for reheating food, are there any features that if you were given the chance when buying a new microwave, you would definitely look for or find really useful?

Thanks

A basic toshiba is all you'll need. Don't bother with anything except a turntable and variable power settings. Go for the cheapest you can get with the simplest controls that's got good reviews on Amazon.

You just need a bog standard microwave no need for extra features unless planning on doing more than reheat or defrost. Just get the cheapest one you like the look of.

Yes just get a simple one. No need for fancy settings. Basically one with a dial would be easiest, turn the dial to how long you want then it pings at the end. Easy.

I love my combo microwave, we use the oven and grill more than the big oven. It also has a fantastic defrost feature called chaos defrost which has settings for defrosting bread and mince.

I have just this week bought this one.
I had a sanyo for 12 years and it blew up last week. It was brilliant, but I didnt use all the grill/combination oven bits, so have gone for the same-ish, but in a basic version.
One thing I did make sure, though is that a dinner plate would fit in comfortably, for microwaving a plated up meal.

Its been a real pain not having mine for a week now. I am sure you will soon be relying on it and wonder how you managed without it!!!
