I have a 3YO beast who seems to be allergic to dairy products, which doesn't surprise me at all, seeing as all women in the family have it!

Problem is, my DD is a cheese and yoghurt fanatic. She would live on cheese and yogurts if I'd let her.... But they make her so poorly. Does anyone know of any DECENT lactose free cheese and yogurts that I can get? Just want my micro beast to be happy again :-(

I don't - but just wanted to give you a bump and say how much I love the phrase "micro-beast"!

I believe Holland and Barrett do some lactase tablets. I don't know if they're suitable for kids, but they might be worth a try for the adults in the family - unless you've tried them already and they didn't work of course!

is she lactose intolerant or cows milk protein intolerant as they are both different conditions? You can get lactofree cheese and yoghurt (Lactofree is the brand and they also do milk) otherwise soya yoghurts/cheese could be used if she is actually allergic to cows milk protein.

You can buy Lactofree yoghurts and milk at Sainsbury and online. Lactofree also do cheese but Sainsbury dont deliver it in our area.

You can look at the Lactofree website here.

I am a coeliac so I have to drink lactofree milk and yoghurts as I am lactose intolerant.

The thing is though. Is your DD actually allergic to milk protein which is a quiet different thing to intolerant to lactose (milk sugar). If she is allergic to milk protein she will not be able to have any dairy product whether lactofree or not.
