I have the rabbit 3D pan - it said 4 1/2 cups of batter - 1st round did a vict sponge mixture have used before for a Barbie skirt tin - Diddn't rise enough and was quite heavy. Then made a maderia mix - It exploded basically and then the topside cracked - can't salvage it with icing and also it stuck to the lower half of the pan its a complete mess. Am going to give it one more go has anybody got any suggestions ?????? DD really wants this cake ...
Oh and with the excess batter of both mixes I did a few small cupcakes rose perfectly and light and fluffy.....

You need the Wilton cake release to make sure it comes out!

I just used Madeira cake mix and that worked. Grease and flour the tin well.

Vegetable shortening is just solid vegitable fat, so something like margarine.
