here , is there anyone for whom Christmas dinner will be a very nice 'Sunday dinner' with a slightly nicer-than- usual bottle of plonk and dessert?

Yes, me! Funnily enough I was thinking a bout starting a non-serious foodies alert

Me! At least if it doesn't all get eaten I won't be thinking "But I spent hours/days/weeks preparing that!"

I will be having turkey with mash, roast, and boiled potatoes and yorkshire pudding

because thats what we like!

Any serious foodie food would be wasted around here as it would only be me eating it, DP would be happy with a mountain of mashed potatoes, some chicken and gravy and a few sausages, honestly he drives me mad!

Ditto here! We'll be having a starter (not quite sure what yet, depends what the supermarket has), roast ham with the usual Christmas trimmings (including stuffing mix from a packet, LOL!) a Christmas pudding (buy one get one free from Morrisons!) and something else (again, depends what supermarket has). Plus a bottle of wine or 2.

Refuse, refuse, refuse to get worked up about Christmas lunch. It's DH, me and the kids having a fun, relaxing day, and that's it.
