At this age for breakfast ds got weetabix and mashed banana or toast, lunch was scrambled eggs, cheese or hummus sandwich followed by fruit and yoghurt, tea was anythign we were having - roast chicken and veg, spag bol, lasagne, tuna pasta with veg etc

Very similar to merrycompo really -DS normally gets Weetabix, Shreddies or toast for breakfast. For lunch something like cheese on toast, sandwiches, hummous with things to dip in it etc followed by fruit or yoghurt (or both as he tends to have quite an appetite.
Tea tends to be the same as us or, if we're having something not suitable, I defrost a homemade sauce (always on standby in the freezer) and cook up some pasta or rice.

My lo is having real problems with teething at the moment, and has gone right off his normal food.

Need some suggestions for tea, normally has proper meal at lunchtime. What should I give for tea ??

Could try crumpets with cheese spread, home made muffin pizzas, scrambled eggs, home made wedges and dips - ketchup, mayonnaise, hummus etc, boiled egg on toast. These sort of things always tempt my ds 11 months to eat and are quite healthy too. Oh and he loves fruit sticks, banana, pear, kiwi etc with yoghurt to dip into.

Breakfast - weetabix, rice krispies, cheerios, toast

Lunch - sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt

Dinner - whatever the older boys have - tuna pasta, spag bol, lasagne, fish fingers, beans on toast, scrambled egg. Plus more fruit, rice pudding, mini muffins

In between meals he eats breadsticks, organic rice cakes, fruit, the odd biscuit or pack of buttons

poppy101 · 13/12/2005 19:04

Good suggestions, only my lo won't eat puddings, loves fruit, not keen on sweet sauces on not keen on eating pasta.

Plus I try and make up most things for lo and try to only use organic ingredients which is a bit of a pain, will look into making crumpets or see if I can buy organic crumpets as that is a good suggestion. Thanks

a 15 month old is a toddler .. not a 'baba' {shiver}

whatever you eat should be fine

poppy101 · 13/12/2005 19:07

Who said baba ?

Plus I don't give my lo our food as general as we eat rubbish and can't afford to eat organic food all the time.

walkinginawinterBundleland · 13/12/2005 19:08

doesn't have to be organic to be not classed as "rubbish"

merrycompo · 13/12/2005 19:09

It's in the thread title !!!

baba, bubs and bubba, even for an infant, it completely parp-tastic for me.

DD for light meals has sandwiches, cheese on toast, jacket potato (microwaved sometimes) with veg and grated cheese, sweet potato, soup and bread, scrambled egg on toast. These are all what the rest of us would eat. Also sometimes if I cook something like fish pie, shepherd's pie, lasagne etc and there is a bit extra a put it into a ramekin dish and stick it in the freezer and she has these for lunch.

Personally I would suggest you stop eating "rubbish" and start eating all the same things together at least some of the time.
