Yes. I konw I could make my own (I frequently do anyway!) but theyare everywhere in France/Germany, very reasonably priced and my DC's love them. Haven't seen any in the supermarkets here.

Here Not small ones, but compote nonetheless...

Organix fruit pots

Ha Waitrose! I should have guessed.

Thanks Rockstock, that looks very nice but a bit more than I wanted to pay.

The ones they have been living off in France were around a euro for four pots about the size of a one portion yoghurt and I hoped to find some to stick in their lunchboxes before they return to school.

I might write to Tesco and ask them to get their suppliers on to it.

Asda do their own brand of the squeezy "pom potes" that you get in France - great for packed lunches, £1 for 4 I think!

I lived in Belgium ten years ago and I have wondered ever since why you can't get those pots of compote here. Such an easy way of getting a portion of fruit and nicer than yoghurt IMO.

Would fruit puree pots do, or those squeezy fruit pouches?

serin · 21/08/2011 13:49

Asda! Wow! I shall look out for them thanks.
The supermarkets are really missing an opportunity here!

Fruit puree pots are ok but with 9 and 10 yr old boys the packaging really does matter, sadly. They would get laughed out of school if they turned up with anything that could be deemed baby food.

DD is 12 and DS 10 and AFAIK no-one laughs at them. They love them anyway!

Clearspring do them - I've bought them in Waitrose in the tinned fruit section
