I was going to do pate on toast for me and ds2 - any reason why he shouldn't have some - I know it's a no no for pregnancy... but wasn't sure if it's okay for kids?

It's fine, assuming he's not immunocompromised.

DD loves it. She has been having it since she was 1.

Well, he only ate a mouthful lol... a fairly typical toddler lunch - I gave him a piece of toast with a thin scraping of pate and some small apple pieces (about a quarter of an apple) followed by a yoghurt. He took about three bites of toast, dropped all the apple on the floor and then devoured the yoghurt!

Oh well, at least I enjoyed the pate

Georgina. DD tends to either poke the pate with her finger and squidge it around or just suck it off and leave the toast/cracker. Although she is actually getting better.

DS2 picks the pate off and eats it as finger food. He feels the same way about butter. Mmmmm.

I keep reading this thread title as 'Is PETE ok to give to an 18 month old'

Too much time on MN, methinks.
