seen in his nursery book that he eats them as a snack, do i need to chop them up? apparently he loves them but DP thinks they are a chocking hazard, they are too small to choke on surely? DS is 10 months. Im trying to vary the snacks he has, he is likely to turn into a banana with the number of them he eats :-D

don't think they're a choking hazard particularly no

They're fine. The only thing you need to chop are grapes (and perhaps cherry tomatoes), and no whole nuts as they're a choking hazard.

ah didnt think so, something new to try then. he loves little things iyswim, like peas etc that he can chase round the tray before throwing on the floor eating.

the reason to chop grapes and tomatoes is because they r slippy so sometimes when they try to bite them they slip to back of mouth. raisins are soft and dry so are a good snack to have as they can also pick them up-just remember as they r a dry fruit too many can be bad for teeth though x.
