Can you freeze pasta?

I feel stupid asking this, but here it goes....

If I make a big batch of tuna pasta, can I freeze portions of it for lunches? Something in my head says no, but figured it's worth asking.

I freeze pasta all the time and it's never done me any harm! Just make sure you defrost and re heat thoroughly

You can, but what I always find is that the pasta absorbs all the liquid in the sauce, presumably before in the time taken to freeze. So, after defrosting, you end up with very mushy pasta and no sauce.

Yes, & we freeze in lidded microwave/freezer friendly tubs & just nuke in the straight from the freezer - again never had a problem with it -

though agree it does tend to soak up a lot of sauce, so find some types freeze better than others

some of the drier types of pasta, such as the one tossed in Salmon/ basil, pinenuts, parmesan & spinach leaf with olive oil - freeze well in freezer bags & aren't mushy at all when heated
