How bad is it, nutritionally speaking? 16 month old has developed a liking for it.

i don't think it's "bad" if it's in fruit juice rather than syrup

but probably not as good as fresh fruit

Thanks. She does like fresh fruit, too, but I get sick of buying raspberries, giving her half a dozen, and them starting to go off the next day, you know? So I tried her with tinned ones and she ate them like they weregoing out of fashion.

I will look out for frt juice once, that didn't really occur to me - I don't normally buy tinned food.

you can freeze raspberries, you know (in preference to them going off)...sprinkle them with a bit of sugar before you freeze them - yum!

I think it's fine, as TIY said, as long as it's in juice. I know what you mean about small children and berries though, they'd bankrupt you!

tinned fruit in fruit juice is fine and counts towards their 5 fruit/veg portions

Thanks for the info!
