Pleased with myself.

Tidying away and i decant some ingredients into airtight containers only to read on the yeast NOT SUITABLE FOR BREADMAKERS

The loaf may be a bit solid. Not the end of the world. If using the dried yeast that comes in a small tin, you should mix it in the water first to activate it, next time, then add the other ingredients and press start. Best not to use the timer though. You should be OK then.

What you should have used is a sachet of "Fast Action Dried Yeast". I did the same thing when I started out

hi, well as you said it is a bit stodgy BUT it is edible! Going to put it back in the oven for a while as it doesn't seem quite cooked enough.

However, I also now have the correct yeast, will be interesting to see the difference it makes.
