I have a red one and wouldn't be without it, it's exceptionally simple to use, and looks beautiful sat on the counter! ..when it's not busy making chocolate cakes that isGrin

So, which colour are you going to chooseGrin

Oh yes, the colour, obviously the most important choice!! I really want hot pink but there are two different ones and I can't tell the difference. cranberry or raspberry ice??
The sad thing is that I don't really have counter space to leave it out all of the time...

So mainly pastry and cakes? This won't help my diet will it???

I have one. It looks very nice and is easy to dust. One day I may even use itGrin

cookielove · 15/05/2011 19:19

That rasberry ice is beautiful

Northernlurker · 15/05/2011 20:11

I use mine a lot, it just mixes things so nicely Grin. You have to leave it out - too heavy to put away.

Vajazzler · 16/05/2011 07:01

You MUST get one! I love my cranberry KA so much! It takes pride of place in my kitchen and get polished daily. Blush
It mixes stuff in the blink of an eye that would have taken my hand mixer much much longer!

You could get a 1970's Kenwood for £50 like I did and bank the extra £500 instead! I love my kenwood! Kitchen aids are pretty but you can get the same functionality for 10% of the outlay if you wish

NettoSuperstar · 16/05/2011 07:17

I have a 70's Kenwood too, it was my Mum's.
I love it and use it at least once a week, but it is heavy and I have no space to leave it out.
I really don't see the point of paying loads for a pretty Kitchenaid if it's going to be stored in a cupboard.

petitdonkey · 17/05/2011 13:16

Thanks all - will look at Kenwoods and then try to convince DH that we need to redesign the kitchen to fit in a lovely Kitchenaid Grin

It's not that I don't have space but it's quite a minimal German kitchen and the main worksurface is 4 metres long but looks best when there is nothing at all on it....
