Jelly but apple flavour, does it exist?

Ds has pointed out that you can get just about all flavours of jelly, lemon to pineapple but not apple.
Is it possible to make jelly with apple juice or is it so vile no one makes it...or does apple juice just not set.

I am talking wibble wobble jelly on a plate type jelly not jelly in a jar.

I think I remember something about apples that they don't set as plate jelly.

As you say, you can make apple jelly - like jam to go on toast - it's the base for all sorts of things like mint jelly etc.

You can make any juice (or any liquid) into jelly by adding gelatine. Just follow the instructions on the gelatine packet. It's with baking stuff in the supermarket.

Nigella makes a gin and tonic jelly with bubbles in. I wouldn't give that to the kids though. It would be a waste.

I've never tried making my own jelly but the recipes I've seen all look quite straightforward.
Gin and tonic jelly needs some further research - that would be amazing.

Right, apple jelly in a wibble wobble jelly shape tonight.

I've made apple jelly before using gelatine leaves and the kids loved it. I used apple juice and just added some lemonade for tanginess. Jelly is very easy to make and the leaves are lots of fun to work with.

It always amazes me that you can buy pineapple jelly when pineapple is the fruit that prevents gelatine from setting. (Remembering long ago science experiments with jelly and pineapple juice.)

Apple jelly sounds yummy
