No idea but marking my place for when someone comes along who does.

What about adding some crusha milkshake liquid, vanilla or strawberry...yummy

fifipink · 20/04/2011 15:54

i'd like to know too, they seem healthier than other lollies. i had one today, 40p it cost me!! I remember when they were 10p each...

love the idea of making my own!

I love mumsnet for things like this. Becoming far too addicted when my usual thought / reply to things I don't know is "I will ask on mumsnet"!!!

Freeze angel delight, and it tastes similar.

Dropdeadfred · 20/04/2011 16:20

mini milks have got milk and reconsituted skimmed milk in them..the white ones have vanilla falvouring, the choc ones have cocoa powder and the pink ones have strawberry flavouring and beetroot colouring - they also all have glucose syrup

I freeze yoghurt drinks to make them. Or blend yoghurt, banana and orange juice together, which is really nice.

virgiltracey · 21/04/2011 18:28

I'd second the angel delight suggestion. It works really well.

I also often freeze yoghurts that have sat unnoticed at the back of the frdieg. That works well but tastes like frozen yoghurt Grin rather than a mini milk!

I use milk and small amounts of Nesquik - so think weak milkshake ingredients, basically.

boosmummie · 21/04/2011 19:51

I make them with smoothies - 1 pint of milk, 1 natural yog and whatever fruit as much as you want really. Or for plain ones ½ tsp vanilla extract and splash of liquid glucose.

bananas and buttermilk with spludge of honey to taste also rather yum.

Thanks all. Will give them a go ... Yum!

Sounds really yummy and tasty while we enjoying it with banana and buttermilk. My mother made it more nutritious by adding yog in buttermilk.

I second the smoothie idea...do yogurt, milk, and fruit, then freeze. Yummy! :)

rockinhippy · 26/04/2011 12:45

& I 3rd the smoothies idea too -

though I just blitz banana & other fruit together with apple juice &water & then freeze

I do a milkshake version too, just blitzed banana & strawberries, or similar into milk & icecream & freeze - though DD prefers the milk free smoothy ones :)

40p for a mini milk?! Lucky devil - it is 70p where i live!

MackerelOfFact · 26/04/2011 14:37

Doesn't milk seperate when you freeze it though? I seem to recall trying to make these once as a kid and it went badly.

Frozen fromage frais, frozen angel delight and frozen smoothies are all mmm though.

MackerelOfFact · 26/04/2011 14:38

I may have tried to put coke or something in the mixture though, gawd knows.
