just been to a local market and there were lots of stalls selling 'farm fresh eggs' and they were a lot cheaper than supermarket £1.00 a dozen for some! I didnt buy any as i didnt know how 'ethical' they would be, i always buy free range.

would you buy them? maybe they are free range...?

farm fresh doesn't say anything about where the eggs are from and how the chickens are treated.
if they don't say 'free range' they are not or they would be more expensive...

yeah - this was my thinking too! there was a stall at the very end that said organic and free range so will be going there next week £1.60 a dozen! bargain!

I would never buy any eggs unless "free range " was stated and even then I would be wary !
Farm Fresh, Barn Eggs all those euphimisms drive me crazy. Even if "free range", does not mean the hens are out pecking about as they normally would, simply means they have access to the great outdoors. If you are the poor sod in the middle of thousands you haven't a hope of getting there !
