I have chocolate and rice krispies, didn't think i would need anything else, but all of the recipes have marshmallows or peanut butter in them... anyone got a recipe with no nuts and no marshmallows (veggie kids and no nut policy at playgroup)
Thanks...

I know some people add syrup or butter to theirs but I just melt the chocolate, add some rice crispies and stir them. I keep adding more rice crispies until the chocolate is only coating them thinly and not loads of chocolate still stuck to the bottom of the bowl.

sounds easy enough, eh!
i didn't realise there were so many ways to maek them..

mmm, is nice and gooey with syrup and bit of butt3er.

I use butter, golden syrup and hot drinking chocolate powder - tbsp of each. You have to boil the butter and syrup for a minute or so otherwise it doesn't get sticky and stay together, otherwise, nothing to it.

Melted Mars bars with a bit of butter is really good. Probably too good for the kids, though - I eat it myself

noops, tbh I never use anything but just chocolate and rice crispies. Melt chocolate, add rice crispies, no butter, syrup or anything else. As long as it is good quality milk chocolate.

Of course, as I said on another crispie dilemma thread adding a handful of currants is lovely.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm - the mars bars ones are loooooooooovely

Put raisins in for added gooey-ness! It really does give them an edge. And a knob of butter.
