What shall I make for my neighbour?

Moved house recently. Met nice opposite neighbour. Chatted a couple or three times. Wondered if she was pg but she didn't say, and you NEVER mention it just in case...

So, heard from other neighbour that she has just had a baby. I usually cook a bung in the oven meal to take over when people have a baby, but know so little about her I don't know what to cook. And to go and ask seems like pestering rather than being helpful!

Was thinking I'd just make some flapjacks or similar and take them over with a little bib or something. But... a meal would be more useful to a new mum with a toddler (and it was a c-sec so she's going to be struggling a bit).

Is there a meal I can take over? Or should I just stick to baking? What would you do?

All I know is that she is Eastern European and he is American No idea if veggie or allergies or... oh blast, I shall just have to stick to flapjacks won't I.

You could always take flapjacks and try to chat about food, and maybe take her a bonus casserole or something in a few days once you've found out what she likes! Either way, taking flapjacks would no doubt be appreciated, and is very kind thing to do.

flapjacks, breakfast bars etc would be great - but what I really want to know is, Can I move in next door to you? Grin

Grin You could move in but it might make your commute a bit long - we're about 8000 miles from London.
