Rust is nutritious, surely?

Is in our house Grin

I regularly bake using rusty tins and we're still alive

rub it with oil post baking adn it wont rust anymore

I'd clean it with a scourer to get as much actual rust off as possible, then grease with lard and bake the grease on in the oven.

I don't over-clean tins either.

However I am well aware that others think my 'layers of grease = nonstick" theory is minging. It's just the way my dad taught me to do it. He refuses to use detergent on his pans at all (unfortunately as my mother does most of the washing up, this is a rich source of arguments in their house) Grin
