Thawing Chicken?

I have got some chicken thighs out of the freezer. I want to cook them. Our freezer is seriously powerful, so I'm sure they're still at -10C or something.

I intend to cook them by browning the outside, then frying them gently. Can I do this with them still a bit frozen inside? I tend to like them really thoroughly cooked, so the middle will be for sure cooked by then, right?

Or should I microwave them to thaw them a bit?

I find if i cut them in to cubes they deforst really quickly (if you want them cubed that is)

Or are they boned?

I wouldn't cook them if still frozen.

They're not deboned. I don't want them cubed.

Am I wasting my time? Should I just fridge them, and cook them tomorrow?

Id say chicken has to be totally defrosted before you start any cooking.

Weirdly, I've done a websearch on thawing in the microwave, and found a page saying you can cook frozen chicken, you just need to cook it for longer. I think I will try to defrost in the microwave, and then cook immediately (duh).

The other option is thawing it in cold water, but I haven't got the time, I don't think.
