Does it really look enough for six for a main? 600g mushrooms are really going to cook down and three sheets of lasagne comes to half a sheet each?

Also if I'm making it in a loaf tin and then slicing it into six the slices are going to be pretty small?

I only have one loaf tin that size, I'm wonderign if I could adapt it for another container.

What do you think?

Looks like a lovely dish, but small. The kind of friends I have to dinner would need a double portion at least!
I suppose it depends if you were planning on serving side dishes too, a starter maybe?

Mixed Mezze for starter and a lime meringue pie for pudding. I'm serving it with the confit of peppers, roasted cherry tomatoes and a mixed salad.

It sounds small. I think I'd make a double quantity in a differrent dish.

I always make lasagne in an oven to table dish. And usually 6 sheets of lasagne...

Definitely double, unless all your friends are models! Looks lovely.

I use a mix of green white pasta and massive dish. Make lots of cheese sauce too it always cooks down.

I would definitely increase the amounts, 3 sheets of pasta does not sound like enough. A good portion of pasta for a person is 80-100 grams. if you weighed half a sheet then I doubt it would come anywhere near that much.

Double the recipe and you should be fine, it sounds lovely.

Make more. Do you have a big ceramic roasting dish (like this?

Mine makes four massive portions - would be plenty for six with starter and pudding. You could add an extra layer too.

I've made this a few times and it is divine. I did it for 5 the first time and there was really enough for 6 with all the bits. I got some lovely breads to go with as well. It's more filling than one might think, but god it's good. Definitely make it a good 24hrs before and it sets perfectly and is much easier to cut into slices. Yum. You've reminded me to do it again, so it's on the list for supper this week now!

I've just seen you posted this..... So anything I've said is of absolutely no use!!

Oh it was gorgeous!!

And amazingly one was enough with other bits as boosmumie said, so I now have one in the freezer as well Smile

Thanks everyone.
