I have a pint and a half of freshly made chicken stock in the fridge, what can I do with it (polite answers only!).

What would you usually use stock in?

Use it as a base for soup, risotto, stew.

Freeze it and use it next time you make casserole/risotto/soup.

I freeze mine into half-pint lumps because that seems to be a nice amount to add to casseroles and sauces etc.. Line container with plastic bag, put 1/2 pint of stock into bag, freeze the whole thing and then remove the container. For a soup I'll defrost two lumps!!

sooooouuup! :)

Also second what chil1234 says - decant into either smaller lumps and freeze (ikea to great tiny plastic boxes that hold about 4 tablespoons worth) or into old ice cube trays and use several in place of stockcubes.

Risotto. Or have it for lunch, either with an egg or with some port.

For the egg, break a fresh egg into a deep soup bowl, add boiling hot stock, stir, top with grated cheese, stir and eat.

For port, just a bit of port to hot stock and eat.

I usually do this with beef stock, but I am sure it is lovely with chicken stock too.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I think risotto sounds good for dinner tonight!

You could boil it to reduce it greatly, then freeze in an icecube tray.

Just pop out a cube to add a really intense flavour to a sauce, or reconstitute with water
