Been looking online for a recipe for sugar free flapjacks and found this:
www.bellaonline.com/articles/art65761.asp

but no idea what they mean by 'a stick of butter'?

surely they don't mean a 250g slab?

Probably, you normally put loads of butter in flapjacks. It gets absorbed by the oats.

It's an American measure. Equals 4oz or 113g.
