I've had conflicting reports on the above. Some say it's OK to give semi-skimmed, others insist it has to be full fat. Hope you can advise! Thanks

Either is fine! My DD (2.5) drinks loads of milk so I tend to give her ss but ds1 (5) doesn't drink much other than on cereal, so I often give him fc....fc is recommended up until 2 afaik.

I've always worked to ff until 2yr, semi til 5 and skimmed after. Though I don't like skimmed so it's semi in our house.

Ds1 has had semiskilled since 2, they don't need full fat after 2.

you can give semi-skimmed from age 2, if you wish i.e. you dont have to. Skimmed shouldnt be given before age 5 as it doesnt have enough calories and fats and therefore the fat soluble vitamins are removed too. We have semi-skimmed for me and the kids (age 4 and 7)

Semi's fine after 2.

My DD is 16 months and gets skimmed milk if we have run out of whole. She actually had a milk allergy up until about 11-12 months too but is fine with both semi and whole milk now. She has even had packet milk when we have run out of both (although this has only been in emergecy situations!)

Thanks so much for the replies. Looks like it's just one bottle into the fridge now!
