Red hot red Thai curry - can it be rescued??

I like it hot but even I found it inedible.... But am left with a huge vat and it would pain me to bin it. Have already added an extra tin of coconut milk and put in a cut up potato (although I think that's for when you've added too much salt) but what else can I do? Or is it cornflakes for tea?

I made a thai green curry and added loads of stuff and wasted that too, get the cornflakes ready.

Sorry.

Try loads of plain yoghurt??

VodkawithRosie · 05/03/2011 14:38

Do you have a coconut block? You could try that as it won't water it down as much as a tin.

Or if you have enough ingredients make another batch (or two!)fresh with NO chilli, then mix all together and freeze what you don't need?

Try adding sugar.

Northernlurker · 05/03/2011 19:22

coconut cream could be useful? I think the best thing is to make more and mix, neutralising it that way.

Lazza65 · 05/03/2011 20:08

Why don't you split it into small batches & use a tablespoons worth to make a Thai style soup, I love butternut squash or pumpkin.

oxocube · 06/03/2011 16:02

Would do as Lazza said. Have done this before too Hmm

Did anything work? Would be interested to know. :)

BettyButterknife · 07/03/2011 13:24

Do you know, I just binned it Blush

I couldn't bear the thought of throwing good coconut milk after bad. My inner domestic goddess is appalled. I am just relieved!

I would have done the same. :)
