we have DD 19months and DS 3.5.

I have pretty much always given them yogurt and fruit for pudding and now they have just had enough of the yogurt and dont really want it, though they still enjoy the fruit.

what do you give yours for pudding? I assumed cakes etc would just be occasional and DD especially is very up and down with the main course, so i like her to eat something afterwards.

Bumping as I'd like some extra ideas too!

We alternate between:

  • plain yogurt / greek yogurt (with different fruits on top or fruit compote)
  • fromage frais (plain with fruit/compote, not 'petit filous')
  • fruit compote or stewed fruits like cooked apple pieces
  • rice pudding
  • custard (not too sweet) -- either of these with a biscuit
  • the very occasional 'bowl of ice cream' about 1 tbsp of ice cream with fruit slices on top :)

Bananas and custard, rice pudding(homemade or tin) were both favourite treats for puddings although i'm sure not good for everyday. I'm now trying to stop mine from having to have a pudding after every meal.

Bananas in custard was always one of DS's favourites.
