No, I don't think so. I tried Googling and found mention of the oil polymerising Confused

It has only happened after making Yorkshires - it didn't happen when I used the same tin to make muffins.

is the extra oil? I dont do my baking trays in the dishwasher as I have to end up washing them again when they come out anyway

Thing is, I put roasting tins in the dishwasher all the time and they never get polymerised (or whatever it is).

Maybe it's the oil combined with the protein from the eggs... Confused

I guess I should refrain from putting my Yorkshires tin in the DW, which is easy enough. But I want to know why it happens.

We need a scientist to explain. Or Heston - I bet he knows.
