DS is allergic to dairy and egg... but am I the only person who has misgivings about soy?

I don't know what to give DS (nearly 18mo) when I stop breastfeeding (soon). Anyone else have this dilemma?

I have big misgivings about the health benefits of soy. I just can't help feeling it's very far from its natural state, and that doesn't seem healthy to me. I haven't done extensive research but there do seem to be a lot of people saying that it's not the wonder food it's often marketed as.

I've been giving him soy yoghurt a bit recently and it's taken me a couple of weeks to figure out that it's probably that which has made him horribly constipated.

Am seeing dietician in two months time. Until then, anyone got any advice for me?

Thanks

rice milk isnt recommended due to arsenic levels. I have heard that oat milk that is supposed to be ok. It can be common to have a soy allergy as well as dairy.

I don't know much about dairy allergy as my son is allergic to just the lactose so we have lactose free products. I do not give him any soy, and didn't even when he was dairy free for a while. Nasty stuff.

I already give DS oat milk on cereal, it's nice, I've actually developed a real taste for it too - as I'm bf I'm dairy and egg free too :(

However I don't know how nutritious it is in terms of vitamins, protein etc. I guess I am wondering if there's anything I can give that will provide some of the nutrients he'll lose when I wean him. I'm feeling guilty about wanting to wean his as it is :(

my son is 12 now and has had a dairy, egg and peanut allergy since he was born, when he was weaned he had wysoy soya milk that I got on perscription, I used it in cooking as well. When he was 2 he started to have sweetened soya that I brought in the supermarket.
