Help! Would you use an egg with small crack?

Was once told not too but have weighed out and melted 350g choc along with a tonne of butter and have discovered that one of my three eggs is cracked. Need three. Do I use the cracked egg or not?

Thanks

If it's not a bad crack break it into a cup first and if it stinks and is in bits don't use if not it'll be alright.IME

Okay thanks! Shall check it out.

I wouldn't use it in a recipe where it wasn't going to be cooked.

Brownies so should be okay, I hope. Seems such a waste to chuck all that choc and our only laying hen, despite my pleading, hasn't laid yet this morning!

as long as the membrane isn't broken it will be fine.

Thanks all. Brownies yummy and membrane was intact.

AAAh millie you're so lucky with hens! isn't it cold for them to lay much ATM? Did you know that the salmonella crisis was about what is on the OUTSIDE of the egg shell?
