Parma ham and melon slices (interleaved)? or plain ciabatta bread with nice oil and olives. All very oily and slippery and eat with your fingers-ish.

Then, I tend to hang out with guys who find steak and chips romantic. Depends on your dp...

Then grapes and cheese.

blimey that's a heart attack on a stick. Maybe just the melon for starter!

I would do antipasta presented nicely on a big platter, semi dried tomatoes, olives, crusty bread, sliced cold meats, cheese etc etc. A nice tipple each and ahh lovely.

get a take out!

ScummyMummy · 08/10/2005 09:31

mmm. All these sound delicious!
My favourite meals to eat with my partner are:
sushi
spicy thai beef salad
oysters
Bread and cheeses and antipasta which MUST include grilled artichokes in olive oil
curry
nice fish simply done with new pots and a green vegetable
Er, actually, I could go on and on! Pretty much we both love all food now I think on't. Will stop now. Hope you have a lovely night.

Fajitas?

ScummyMummy · 08/10/2005 09:38

mmmm. Fajitas are yummy too. I need my breakfast I think. Am drooling!

Dropinthecauldron · 08/10/2005 09:43

ASDA'S do great fajitas in a ready to go pack-really easy to cook-you just fry the beef/chicken and peppers and onions and then off you go! I just add eextra cheese and lettuce cos I'm a fat bastard!

Not ideal for a romantic meal though!

Chicken parmesan. Mmmm. Salad and garlic bread as compliments. And wine, of course.

Pesto chicken, mix pesto to taste with philadelphia cheese, slice a gap into a chicken breast and stuff with basil or walnuts or chilli or dont bother. Spread pesto mix over the chicken, cover with sliced beef toms if you want. cover with grated cheese. Sometimes if im feeling really indulgent, i layer the cheese, goats cheese, cheddar, parmesan or mozzzarella, cheddar ,parmesan or sometimes just cheddar. This is really yum and really easy, just throw it in the oven.

Yummy cheesefest! I'm such a cheese lover! The smellier the better!
