Does anyone have the attachment that goes on top of the machine? I am wondering if I should get one or a stand alone food processor?

Any recommendations?

Thanks Smile.

I have one and I find the minus points outweigh the plus.

Plus points: very effective, rubs in flour and butter in seconds, and very evenly; grates well and does everything it's meant to do well; does not take up too much space; spares are easy to come by, and because of its kind of modular construction are easy to fit.

Minus points: small capacity, so struggles to process more than about 200g of flour (but we are a large, greedy family); the centre part wears out quickly and has to be replaced every 12-14 months (but it does get well used).

Because of the minus points I do now have a stand alone processor, but I do a lot of cooking and baking. If you have a small family and process normal amounts the chef attachment will probably be OK.

Thanks for that molecule that's really helpful. I could do with one with a reasonable capacity. I'll shop around and compare prices.

Thanks again.

I was going to say that the lack of capacity is a problem for me - and I don't have a big family.
