Chocolate log with bailey's icecream as the filling. Already made and waiting in the freezer

ChippyMinTurnAgainWhittington · 20/12/2010 17:09

controlfreakery - that sounds like my bombe - but i couldn't face the meringue on xmas day so i'm coating the pud with choc sauce.

minervaitalica · 20/12/2010 17:26

Prosecco and clementine jelly (can be made well in advance)

Xmas pudding, mince pies, nougat etc etc

pointissima · 20/12/2010 17:56

Christmas pud (not home made) or chocolate log (home made)

Personally, would prefer the lemon posset....

WhatsWrongWithYou · 20/12/2010 18:03

Christmas pud as DH can't go without it on Christmas Day, plus will make and freeze a chocolate and chestnut roulade for me and the DCs.

Maybe do a lemon tart as well.

schroeder · 20/12/2010 18:30

Homemade christmas pudding with cream. I can't imagine having anything else.

DanJARMouse · 20/12/2010 18:31

Christmas pud for my dad and Gran

Rocky Road dessert thing from Tesco for the rest of us.... not that i think we will be able to manage pud after the main course.

mathanxiety · 20/12/2010 18:36

Small Christmas pud, tiramisu, pumpkin pie. So a lot of whipped cream too.

Thanks SleighBELLasringing!

Thanks everyone else too... i've made a little shortlist!

I LOVE the idea of a baked alaska, but would need to practise at a less stressful time!

Nothing.

We are always too full from the turkey dinner to enjoy anything else. We always have Christmas pudding on Boxing Day.

wfrances · 20/12/2010 20:41

tesco finest lemon roulade and cream & xmas pudd with cream/custard depending wether guests want something light or heavy.

Bunbaker · 20/12/2010 20:46

How on earth do all of you find the room to manage a pudding? When I am full there is nothing on earth that would make me want to eat any more.

Maria2007loveshersleep · 20/12/2010 20:54

Bunbaker: there is always a bit of room in stomach for dessert Wink. However full you are. Some people call it a second stomach, the special dessert stomach :)

we're having homemade Christmas pudding & also Nigella's chocolate cherry trifle which is divine & I've made 3 years in a row for Christmas.

stnikkilarse1978 · 20/12/2010 20:59

Have 12 people to feed so am doing a xmas pud for those who like it plus an apple and blackberry crumble with custard. It is my favourite pudding and I am cooking so I get to choose Grin

Got cheese and biccies for later of course.

BelligerentYhoULE · 20/12/2010 21:00

We have our Christmas pudding about an hur after dinner, at least.

BelligerentYhoULE · 20/12/2010 21:00

hour

bumpybecky · 20/12/2010 21:37

we're 12 as well, will do Christmas pudding, chocolate and clementine or cranberry roulade thing (good food recipes) and banoffee trifley thing (made up as I go along!)

best bit about Christmas is eating leftover pudding for breakfast on Boxing Day, and the day after and the day after that if I'm lucky!

Bunbaker · 20/12/2010 21:37

A brownie mountain decorated with reindeers, snowmen, and dinosaurs. Dds have brownies and icecream and chocolate sauce, and we have brownies and coffee.
