We get a crown from our local butcher.

Phillistines! You need all that left over dark meat to make Jamie Oliver's Turkey and Sweet Leek Pie. Yum yum.

I always get a M&S turkey crown as there are only 3 of us - never dry IME but still way to much and we end up eating various trukey dishes for days Grin!

What is the point? The best parts are it's legsConfused

We get a turkey. DH chops of legs and I ballantine them. You can do that the night before (incl cooking) and then make gravy too. The rest is the Crown, and I cook that as you would a chicken. Dead easy. I use a Marcu Wareing recipe out of the papter (about 10 years ago). It is great.

chops oFF. Ooops.

I much prefer a crown. Lots of meat and some leftover without being swamped by the stuff.

We like turkey on Christmas day and Boxing day. I get worried about eating it beyond that and anyway we're all bored of it by then.

The idea of cooking a turkey and eating it for a week makes my hair stand on end.
