Should I pan fry smoked haddock?

Am veggie, but about once a week I do fish for the children. They love it. I usually buy a white fish steak of some description and pan fry it in a little butter, or bake it with lemon.

This time though I bought yellow fish - I loved it when I was a kid. Smoked haddock.

No idea how to cook it though.

Pan fry? Will that be okay?

you can poach it in a little milk - then it is nice and soft and it takes a wee bit of the strength out of the flavour. Lucky kids!

Might do that... although my tollerance for poached fish smell is lower than fried fish smell.

Microwave it.

you can do it in the oven and cover in foil so that contains the smell a bit.

Fired smoked haddock will be v v strong

I don't have a microwave.

Okay - will poach then if fried too strong.

And they liked it!

Dd loved it and wolfed the lot.

Ds ate a bit when disguised with broccoli.

A success!

(Though weirdly the angel hair noodles were not Confused dd was so excited about angel hair but then declared it too hairy and said it stuck to her throat. I did point out it was just spagetti really, but no dice.)
