Do you ever bribe your kids with foods?

I've recently written a feature about my use of tactical food bribes to keep my kids in line... yes, I mean chocolate, ice cream, cake (all the baddies we're supposed to avoid). I just wanted to do some research on how many other parents share my approach, or if any parents out there feel strongly this is not a good strategy. I'd love to get some feedback: I wrote the article in my role as a Great Aunt for Aunt Bessie's, you can read it here: www.auntbessies.co.uk/great-aunts/great-aunticles?readmore=21

Not usually, but DS has recently developed two things:

  1. An irritating habit of putting off reading his schoolbook until the very last minute, and reading in a silly voice
  2. A love of Harry Hill's peanuts

It seemed churlish not to link the two Grin
