I've got an american recipe I'd like to make. I've seen these befor ein recipes and never known what they are. Sweet or savoury? Any UK (or better still, Australian) equivelent?

Thanks :)

Like a cream cracker

Like a digestive biscuit, particularly if you're substituting in a recipe.

Like a golden rectangular digestive biscuit.
For cheesecake base etc use digestives with a drop of honey.
Or yellow food colouring...

Yes, like digestives.

But if it's cheesecake you're making, I find hobnobs work quite well.

ok now I've got to remember what a digestive is. A little bit sweet and whole mealy? Is that right?

Its for this recipe, so that would seem right I think.

I'd use arnotts shredded wheatmeal biscuits to get the closest to the recipe, but i prefer milk arrowroot...

Astrophe · 31/10/2010 11:35

thanks sauce! yes, was thinking shredded wheat. I'll use them first, and then can adjust it the second time (arrowroots...mmmmm). And I'm sure there will be a second time :)
