No ideas, just a warning that you'll need to be careful with some meat products such as sausage as they contain breadcrumbs.

Yeah the dietcians no longer provide sheets with lists of food that are safe as ingrediants change to quick

Luckily ds2 us mature and can deal with it but it's removed so many foods normally cook him as for cakes no clue

Not sure, but a cake made with cornflour might work.

This is the best gluten free bread. You can use it for breadcrumbs for veal parmesan, fish etc which my ds likes.

We get gluten free sausages from the butcher but supermarkets should do them (waitrose does).

All cakes we make normally with the doves farm flour and xanthan gum to stop it being too crumbly and a little bit more egg to the recipe.

Lots of rice things like indian and thai curry and stir fry.

Gluten free pasta tends to be a bit sticky, don't overcook it .This brand is good.

You need to check the ingredients carefully on things such as oven chips and cornflakes as they often have wheat in.Some supermarkets are very good at labelling for allergy advice such as Aldi.

What does he like to eat?

Village Bakery in Melmerby have wheat-free products. They are stocked by Tescos, Morrisons, Waitrose etc. They also do online sales here

You could bake gluten free bread in a breadmaker using Doves Farm gluten free white bread making flour (purple bag) which contains no wheat but is ready blended with xanthan gum already added to bind it.

I am a coeliac so have to avoid all wheat (and dairy). I also make gluten free cakes using Doves Farm plain and self raising gluten free flours. I just use normal recipes and substitute gluten free flour and if necessary add xanthan gum so it binds/raises properly. Other than that I am just very careful reading packets and eat normal food. M&S have a 93% pork sausage that does not have wheat in. Polenta, rice and potato are fine to use as well. Be very careful with sauces as they often contain wheat.

Holland & Barret sell gluten free cakes as do Sainsburys in their Free From range. Doves Farm also do gluten free pasta. You can buy gluten free bread but it is quite expensive and does not taste that good IME.

Were doing wheat free for a month and depending on improvement or not will then try taking dairy and soya out for a month on top of the wheat free talked about taking all out first but ds was not keen on no dairy so agreed to stage it

Do think it's wheat thoughas he can eat a burger and he them needs bathroom fast and everyone else needs gasmask

Biggest problem with him is putting on and keeping weight on any luck this diet will help with that ANC the crohns
