Are my worms going to disolve in their slime?

I have just started making worms in slime.

Green jelly and gummy worms.

Was going to put a glug of jelly in a clear cup, set, add worm, add another glug of jelly, set.

Now I have started I am having flashbacks to doing this once before and my worms disolving in my slime. Can't remember. Argh.

Anyone? Experiences?

I was talking about making something like this today to a colleague and she said just make sure the jelly isn't boiling hot when you add the worms- so add them after the cold water and after its cooled a bit.

Maybe make sure the worms are a bit frozen too? So it takes them longer to reach melting point, by which time hopefully the jelly will be cool enough?

LOL from title thought you'd meant to post in Gardening

Don't the worms just sink to the bottom when you add them to cooled but still liquid jelly? Is there anyway of suspending them?
