Bread dough - where shall I leave it to rise?

I haven't had a problem all summer, but now it is chilly and the bread isn't rising.
We moved here in the spring and there is no airing cupboard in this house.
If I put it in the fan oven on its lowest setting, which is maybe 85 degrees, will that be too warm and kill the yeast?

thank you. I forgot about my rising dough.

You can just let it rise in the kitchen. It will just rise more slowly.

Have you read about the method for letting it rise in the fridge overnight? Just Google "bread proving in fridge".

Fill a bowl with just boiled water. Put a baking tray on top. Dough goes in a bowl atop the baking tray.

Can use 15 second bursts in the microwave if that helps.

Thank you all.
I did the tray-on-top-of-hot-water and the chelsea buns nearly climbed out of the tin, so thankyou.
The microwave technique is interesting; I will try that next time. :)
