I've never heard of it. Is it a grain? Aren't there cooking instructions on the packet?

It is a ridiculous substitue for cous cous!

Basically you put it on a little dish, dip pitta bread in oil and then in the dukkah sp?).

Or sprinkle it over things like hoummus.

There is a picture of it in a pestle and mortar with some crusty bread near by so that makes sense!
No instructions Shock

It is v tasty but it is a seasoning/garnish rather than a bulking agent like cous cous.

I think you can dip quail's eggs in it, if you're into that sort of thing!

You can get some dough (raw pizza dough from the supermarket will do), mix the dukkah with generous amounts of olive oil, spread it over the dough and bake it for a few minutes in the oven. Cut it up into pieces afterwards and you've got yourself a lovely snack!

I use it to flavour couscous. Not so helpful as you clearly don't have any couscous! Grin

It's a flavouring - cumin, nuts, cinnamon (I think) and a few other things. Egyptian I think. So you can use it to flavour whatever you like - as Absolutely says, mix with oil and flavour bread. Oe use it to flabour dips. I tihnk it's quite nice with fish too - sprinkle a little with some oil or butter before you grill your fish.

I've had it sprinkled onto a salad. Can't say I particularly enjoyed it, though. Some of these other suggestions sound much tastier.

I LOVE it. Usually dip bread/pitta in olive oil and then the dukkah. However we found a LOVELY way to eat it is to slice cucumber and dip it in. Just delicious (and healthier than the bread/oil combo)

Very odd sub though
