starlover · 08/09/2005 21:54

depends what kind of thing you want to bake

gigglinggoblin · 08/09/2005 21:54

am sure it will be fine then, whats the worst that can happen?

QueenOfQuotes · 08/09/2005 21:55

lol - thanks jabm - I wasn't intending to use it for spreading on my lovely homemade bread (use tesco sunflower spread for that)

starlover - nothing fancy - biscuits, crumble etc etc

thats ok then! No seriously, its fine for cooking if thats all you use it for!

starlover · 08/09/2005 21:58

it'll be no good for pastry because you need a harder fat for that. should be ok for cakes etc though

QueenOfQuotes · 08/09/2005 21:59

thanks

Tastes absolutely foul.

Mind you, haven't baked with it but I don't bake with anything other than butter now.

QueenOfQuotes · 08/09/2005 22:04

soupy - tesco value milk powder tastes foul too - but works when you need dried milk powder in the bread maker

Can't wait until I can cook/bake with butter again

we used it for baking at work, the biscuits just melted ,wouldn't recommend it for this.
