Title pretty much sums it up Grin

Got to make a pudding for tomorrow evening, have got loads of apples and plums. Would a plum and apple crumble work or should i just stick to the one?

Thanks Smile

Yes I did one last week and threw in some free blackberries for good measure. :)

I took a portion to work and people were drooling over it while it was in the fridge (not literally, obviously, well I hope not!)

Alice - the fruit was all from the garden of his old house so it wouldn't be the same apparently! I have planted some trees here but they're not yet very productive.
Enjoy yours Smile

What a rubish excuse! Grin Do you think he is worried it won't live up to the hype? Wink

Both my Dad and FIL brought round a load of apples, my dad also brought me some plums and pears (all from his garden) and FIL brought half a fridge full of green beans, tomatoes and rasberries (from his garden). Crumbles, chutneys and rasberry vodka all on the menu!

Plum Tarte Tatin is good. No, not a mix up. If you halve and stone the plums, place them rounded side down in the Tarte Tatin dish, and then put a small piece of marzipan in each of the hollows where the stones came out before poping the pastry on top..........delicious!

Not pudding, but if you have some spares - plum fairy cakes are ace. Make standard victoria sponge mix (2 or 3 egg mix gives plenty of cakes). Cut some plums into smallish pieces. Dollop a bit of mix into a paper case, add 2 or 3 of bits of plum, then more cake mix. Cook as normal fairy cakes. Works really well with damsons/wild plums that are a bit too sour for crumble/stewed fruit.

Might try that, then i won't feel too guilty about DD and i wolfing down a load of cake Grin

I made a really easy crumble topping by just whizzing up some (Tesco value) flapjacks in the food processor and shoving on top of the fruit - really simple and delicious.

Souds good, will put oats in anyway, but will try that sometime.
