I'm in need of the recipe where she marinades the red onion... I think it's in Forever Summer.

Are you desperate for the recipe tonight bakedpotato?

Ulysees · 28/08/2005 21:58

is this it?

bakedpotato · 28/08/2005 22:00

Nah, it's for lunch tomorrow and I think I've got most of the ingredients. I can probably fudge it, but I'd love to know how and how long you're meant to marinade the red onions. (Am rather hoping she advises 2 rather than 24 hrs)

Oh! Thank you Ulysees, I think that is it. Hats off. I spent ages on Google trawling without luck.

I always put a plus sign in between word e.g. Nigella+greek+salad and you only get a page with those words on.

bakedpotato · 28/08/2005 22:03

'You'll notice, once it's had its time, that the blooded crimson of the onion is now a luminescent puce'

I love the way that only Nigella could have written that sentence, even though there's no byline on the recipe

yes she has a unique turn of phrase

Brill Ulysees, you've saved me a trip up the stairs, was just about to go and get the book.

It is very nice, hope you enjoy it bakedpotato!
