I know you all you foodies go through phases when you can't get enough of a certain something. Like when you first discover a particular food.

Well, my current thing is rather shameful and could be my downfall because atm I am finding it completely irresistable

yum

Tell me about your current guilty pleasures ...

Scrambled eggs with Tabasco........I could eat it all day every day.

Smash09 · 20/08/2010 08:32

Babybel cheese on top of celery and peanut butter (crunchy)

Starbucks frappucino/costas frescato

Fruit crumble and custard - have had one nearly every weekend this month - I love it cold!

Doritos... but then that never changes Grin

Boursin cheese now comes in a tub of little baby Boursin nuggets. I have found that eaten in conjunction with a leaf of basil and a cherry tomato, it is very easy to pop about 15-20 of them into your mouth in one sitting.

chaostrulyreigns · 20/08/2010 14:19

Hummus (sorry not handmade) that I jazz with some lime zest and chopped coriander and sometimes a tiny bit of fresh red chilli served on mini oatcakes. Can eat far more than 20 of them. FN is a lightweight CopiousSnacker. Grin

Roffle @ "sorry, not home-made" on your hummus, Chaos.

I think almost anything edible can be immeasurably improved by the addition of coriander, tbh.

P.S. I have had more of the seriously strong cheddar cheese spread today. So much so that dh stood in front of me this evening, with a straight face, asking where all the cheese spread had gone.

Heh heh.

Brocolli and new potatoes. Just that, nothing else. (except for too much butter and too much salt) My current favourite meal.

Mini Babybels.

Twister ice lollies.

thelunar66 · 20/08/2010 23:26

Mmmm at the idea of little boursin cheeses.

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 20/08/2010 23:36

Melon and serrano ham drizzled with honey

bibbitybobbityhat · 21/08/2010 00:07

Mmmmm.

When I discovered Greek Yogurt (circa 1990) with honey, I had it every day for about 3 months Blush.

Those chilli peppers that LIDL do, stuffed with feta cheese. mmm.....

Few weeks ago they had a Greek week there and I bought 8 boxes Blush, and oh threw the last 2 out.

It was the first time in 4 years that they had appeared in Lidl in France - I could have wept.

FellatioNelson · 21/08/2010 14:44

Along the same theme as the boursin, cherry tomato and basil, you can't beat a jucy pear cut up into chunks and shoved into the gob with walnuts and little lumps of gorgonzola, or similar blue cheese.

tb · 21/08/2010 17:00

Smash - cold crumble is especially good when eaten while standing with the fridge door open looking for something to eat.

As everyone knows, anything eaten standing up apparently has zero calories. Wink

muggglewump · 21/08/2010 17:54

Fresh peas, as in still in the pod. DD and I ate three bags between us the other day.

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 21/08/2010 20:30

Grin Mugglewump - DH asked me if my pea crop in the garden had failed this year - the shameful truth is I have just eaten them all in a most gluttonous manner when I have been outside gardening.

ib · 21/08/2010 20:34

A particularly creamy brillat savarin they sell in my local supermarket - I eat about 4 a week Blush

Smash09 · 21/08/2010 23:19

tb - Grin my thoughts exactly!

muggglewump · 22/08/2010 00:55

Oh, we didn't eat them from the garden.
I bought them from Asda!
They are delicious, I wish they were available all year round.

I don't garden, I'm too frightened of slugs.Blush
